Both sides filed responses Oct. 5 on a possible deadline to finish re-deciding refused visas (plaintiffs ask for 30/60 days; government opposes any deadline); the judge held oral argument Oct. 14; on Oct. 15 plaintiffs filed a proposed order (twice-weekly government status reports, document production, 30-day deadline for the individual plaintiffs) and the government asked until Oct. 19 to respond; the judge gave it until 11 a.m. Oct. 16, and on Oct. 16 the government filed its response opposing the proposed order (offering instead two sworn reports 14 days apart); no ruling yet. The separate travel ban (Proclamation 10998) is not affected and remains in effect for 39 countries (updated Oct. 16, 2026) |
